Punjabi film industry has served its version of a former drug addict’s real story in form of ‘Dakuaan da Munda’ (Bandit’s Son). Based on the life of former Kabaddi player Mintu Gurusaria, who was a drug addict and gangster for 17 years, the movie is perhaps a tad more honest than most such movies are known to be, though just as high on romanticizing and eulogizing the main character.

The next couple of scenes are crucial for the movie as they had to be convincing enough to show the emotional turmoil that leads to Mintu giving up drugs, and they are.
Given that it is apparently the first Punjabi film based o
